Twenty weeks of whatever fourteen acres in Portage County decides to give us. One hundred eighty families, four pickup sites, June through October.
Our story
We started in 2014 with three acres, forty members, and a borrowed cooler. We're at fourteen acres and a hundred eighty members now, which is roughly the size we intend to stay — big enough that the numbers work, small enough that we still know most of your names.
A share is twenty weeks, June into October. What's in it depends on the year. In a good July you'll get more tomatoes than you know what to do with. In a wet June you'll get a lot of greens and we'll both be disappointed about the carrots. That's the arrangement — you're farming with us, a little.
We grow about forty crops across the season. Everything is certified organic and everything is picked within a day of your pickup, most of it that morning.
The thing members tell us most often is that the box made them cook differently. That's the part we didn't expect and like the most.
Pickup
Boxes are packed Tuesday and Thursday mornings and go to four sites. You pick a site when you sign up, and you can switch weeks if you're traveling — just tell us by Sunday. Miss a pickup and we hold your box at the farm until Saturday morning.

“The box made us cook differently. I've made things I'd never have bought.”

“Fourth season. My kids know what kohlrabi is, which I consider a win.”
“Missed a pickup once and they held it. Called me about it. It's that kind of operation.”
